Interfaces leading point-of-sale devices to Bennett dispensers including VeriFone® Ruby.™
Check with us for specific point-of-sale brands and models. Bennett encourages P.O.S. companies
to interface their systems to Bennett dispensers by providing communication protocol documentation
and support at a very low nominal cost.
Industrialized electronics for superior reliability.
Optically isolating the dispenser from the P.O.S. offers a simple, effective means to ensure immunity
from electrical noise, maintaining communication between dispensers and P.O.S. even when
electricalconditions are less than perfect. Designed for handling the wide voltage ranges found
in stores and stations, the 515 Pump Controller maintains its communications and operating status between
75-Vac and 135-Vac. AC line filtering and an easily replaceable fuse (5x20mm 1-amp) helps to overcome
dirty power conditions.
Single-board design and streamlined software offer reliability and rapid-response communications.
A consolidated hardware and software platform exists on a single board so response times are
fast and reliable. A 16-bit PC-type microprocessor and Intel™ architecture provide speed and
reliability for the software and communications. There are no cables to connect pump data wire
J-boxes to the 515 - we provide the J-box terminal strip on the 515 circuit board to increase communication
speed and connection reliability. A built-in, ni-cad battery backup system protects volatile
memory and the real-time clock.
16 or 32 fueling positions.
By adding a 515 Expansion Box and connecting it to the 515 Pump Controller with a small cable
(db15 connectors), the system is ready for large facilities with up to 32 fueling positions.
The 515 Expansion Box can be easily added to an existing system if the facility decides to
add additional fueling positions in the future.
Small size conserves backroom real estate.
The 515 houses the single circuit board design incorporating power supply, transformer, and
J-box terminal strip. The resulting small footprint allows the box to be easily wall-mounted
where space is scarce. The 515 Pump Controller measures 12" x 12" x 4" (305mm x 305mm x 102mm).
One or two small cables from the P.O.S. device connect to the onboard ports on the 515 circuit
board (db9 connectors). A 11/2" conduit from the 515 Pump Controller to the point-of-sale
area will accommodate the cables.
Extensive built-in diagnostic tools ensure that you can be back in service quickly should you experience any
problem.
One quick look at the 515’s “happy” light indicates that system is or isn’t functioning.
Additional send-and-receive LEDs allow quickpeek indicators for communications to both the
dispensers and the point-of-sale device. And if that’s not enough, the 515 has a built-in LCD
display (4-line x 20 character) to aid in software upload/ download and diagnostic messaging.
